Childress Vineyard's Policies
Minimum Wine Order As a premier North Carolina winery, Childress Vineyards produces an impressive portfolio of award winning wines to appeal to all wine lovers and satisfy a range of budgets. Whether you choose a variety of wines or limit your event to a couple of popular favorites, our wine list of estate and proprietary wines will make a memorable impression on every guest.
• A minimum of one case (12- 750 ml bottles) per 25 guests is required for all evening events. Each 750 ml bottle contains approximately four glasses of wine. We suggest planning on two glasses of wine per person. At this rate, one case will serve approximately 25 guests.
• One tasting voucher is included with a catering package. Visit our Tasting Room to sample our lineup of fine wines and determine which wines you would like available for your event. You may use your tasting voucher at your convenience. Please consult our website for Tasting Room hours.
• Wine orders should be placed with your Event Specialist prior to the scheduled event date.
• In case it is needed, additional wine beyond the amount of your initial order can be available. Simply provide us with your credit card number to authorize the release of additional wines for service to you and your guests.

Private Labeled Wine & Gifting To add a unique touch to your event, customize your wine order with private labels or create you own one-of-kind gift for your guests. The possibilities are endless! Ask us about lead time, setup charges and minimum orders.
Catering Services Catering Services are supplied solely by Childress Vineyards. Please ask your Event Specialist for a catering menu and pricing. If you have something specific in mind, our chefs will do their very best to accommodate your culinary wishes.
Vendors With the exception of catering services and wine providers, you are welcome to select your own vendors for your special day or event. We can provide you with a list of appropriate vendors from the surrounding area. Vendors are allowed easy access to the winery. A certificate of insurance naming Childress Vineyards as an additional insured party is required of all outside vendors. Please consult with your Event Specialist.
Event Setup For the majority of events, Childress Vineyards provides tables and chairs. If you prefer different options, tables and chairs may be rented from outside vendors for an additional charge. Standard sizes include: 4 ft. and 5 ft. round tables as well as 6 ft. and 8 ft. by 2 ft. wide rectangular tables. For the most current linen and centerpiece options available please consult your Event Specialist.
Photography Session We offer amazing vistas and scenery for bridal portraits and/or engagement photos prior to your wedding day. Photo session reservations include three hours of access to the winery and grounds as well as use of our private Bridal Suite for changing and storing of items while on site.
Financial Obligations In order to secure your date on the winery’s calendar, we require a signed contract along with a 50% deposit. Full rental payment is due six months prior to your event. Final guest count is due no later than 14 days prior to your event date.
Refunds Given the length of time in advance most weddings and other events are scheduled, it is often difficult for us to book another event for the same date should you decide to cancel. We do not offer any type of refund for cancellations.
